Our major market is the European Union, where our brand, HONEYWELL
is well-known and accepted. Products are offered to the highest bidder
on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Sales are made
strictly through irrevocable letter of credit or on bank guaranty
for immediate payment upon presentation of documents.
There are four shrimp varieties viz. Wild Ocean Black Tiger Prawns
(Penaeus monodon), White Prawns(Southern Pink Shrimp) (Penaeus notialis),
Brown Shrimps(Guinea Shrimps) (Parapenaeopsis atlantica), and Cappa
Shrimps(Deep water Rose Shrimp) (Parapenaeus longirostris).
Tiger shrimps are currently packed Head-on, Shell-on, Fresh, Frozen
(onboard) in four grades viz. under 5/kg, 6-10/kg, 10-20/kg and 20-30/kg.
White Prawns are packed whole, Head-on, Fresh, Frozen in eight grades
ranging from 10-20/kg to 150-200/kg. In addition to this, small quantities
are packed headless in three grades viz. Small, Medium and Large.
Brown and Cappa shrimps also are packed whole, Head-on, Shell-on,
Fresh Frozen in five grades. These shrimps also are packed headless
in a single grade.
All shrimp varieties are packed in 2kg blocks without glazing and
exported in master cartons of 9 x 2 kg.
Crabs are packed whole frozen onboard the trawlers. These are wrapped
individually and then in 8kg or 15kg master cartons for export. It
is also processed and packed into frozen crab clusters and crab claws
for export.
Cuttle Fish also are packed whole frozen in blocks of 5kgs and in
master cartons of 4 x 5kg. These are prepared in 4 grades XL (>500/piece),
L (300-500/piece), M (200-300gms/piece) and S (100-200gms/piece).
